1. So how do I book you?!

EASY! Let's start by filling out the Contact Form here. Then, once we get a date and some details worked out, I'll send over a Booking Form that gives me all the info I need for your Contract. Once that's filled out, I'll send over your Contract and all you have to do is read it over, the three of us sign it, submit your Retainer and BAM - booked!

How would you describe your photography style?

For the actual photo-taking process, I really try to take a photojournalistic approach and capture your day naturally (not "posed" - besides family photos haha), real and authentic moments, and during your Bride & Groom session I like to let you two interact with each other rather than with the camera and I basically act as a professional third wheel, haha. We'll have a blast so it won't feel like you're just "having your photo taken" but a fun adventure where you can be yourselves, get a little vulnerable, get a little silly, and I want to capture the quirky, the hidden smiles, the tears, the laughs, the in-between moments, the raw and true pieces of you and your love for each other! I would identify my editing style as a bit dark and moody, with a beautifully unique and nontraditional look. The images I produce provide emotion and create a subtle and moody feel with a very woodsy look.

How would you describe your working style?

It's very important to me to connect with my couples and actually be part of your day and the whole process, and not just be a "vendor" on your checklist. I want us to vibe well and not just have a vendor-client relationship, but an actual friendship! I love when my couples keep me involved and updated through everything and it makes me so happy when I get texts from my brides "I got my dress, eeeeek! *insert photo*!" And even after the wedding day hopefully we're still keeping in touch, I love seeing your little family grow or whatever adventures life brings you! I'll probably cry with you and laugh with you on your wedding day! It's also really important to me that my couples trust me! On the wedding day, I'm very casual and many of my couples have said it felt like I was part of the family (which I love), and I am also whatever you need me to be apart from just being your photographer - I'm your friend, helper, drink-provider, somewhat-time-keeper, etc.! You can find me kicking off my shoes and climbing on furniture for your Getting Ready/Detail photos, sneaky and stealthy and all over your Ceremony (unless you want me to back off, then I'll use a long lens), and your dorky adventure buddy during your Bride & Groom photos!

I notice you identify as an Intimate Wedding and Elopement photographer, will you still photograph my large wedding?!

Of course! I love weddings of all shapes and sizes - I can't wait to hear all about it!

Can I have multiple outfits during a Portrait Session?

I usually suggest just doing one outfit for the sake of time, and maybe have a second outfit that's easy to change into even if we're in the middle of a dirt trail. I recommend something that's nice but casual, these end up photographing really nicely because you're the most comfortable and you're more yourself! I also share outfit ideas with you during the process, and help with color scheme and such that will go well with my photography style, so I'd be happy to give you some tips!

What types of locations do you suggest for Engagements/Portrait Sessions?

My favorite types of locations are very organic spots in nature, and have lots of space for us to frolic! I particularly love shooting in the desert or on mountaintops. I have a giant list of location ideas that I'll send to you, depending on whether you want to stay local or if you would like to adventure a bit farther (the farther the drive and the farther from civilization, usually the more epic the spot)! If you want to do something a little different, I've also recommended In-Home Lifestyle Sessions to my clients too, I'd be happy to tell you all about that!

Do you offer a Print Release for the images?

Of course! This means that you have the rights to print the images that you receive to your heart's content for personal use. Just keep in mind you may not sell or publish (like, to bridal magazines, blogs, etc.) the images without written consent from Sarah Linda Photography. It also makes me really happy when I see couples print and frame their photos or make an album, etc. If you do so, I'd love to see photos of them hanging in your home or whatever you did with them just because it warms my heart!

How many photos should I expect to receive and how will I receive my images? Will they have watermarks/logos?

You can typically expect around 50 images per hour of coverage (ex: 8 hour wedding coverage means you can expect around 400 edited photos to be delivered), and similarly for Portrait Sessions (typically one hour long) you can expect around 50 images! But I personally like to under-promise and over-deliver! ;) And you will receive your high-resolution digital images on your very own Online Gallery where you and your loved ones can download them all with one click, "heart" your favorites, share the gallery, etc. Yay! Also, no watermarks or logos (but I do appreciate you crediting me when posting photos, pretty please)!

Can you help us out with our wedding timeline?

Absolutely! I always assist my couples with creating and finalizing their wedding timeline (or if you already have one, I can help you perfect it)! I will especially make sure to help you work around the lighting for the day, make sure we have plenty of time for each portion that you want photographed, time for portraits, and so on.

What kind of gear do you use? And do you have backup equipment?

I use top of the line gear and I have multiple camera bodies and multiple lenses, so I usually use 1-2 main bodies and 2-3 main lenses on your day and the others usually act as my backups. I also have two speed lites in case I need to use flash. I shoot on multiple memory cards for an automatic backup and also backup your images on three hard drives and an online backup system after your wedding for six months after delivering your gallery.
- Canon 5D Mark IV (primary camera body)
- Canon 5D Mark IV (secondary camera body)
- Canon 70D (backup camera body)
- Sigma 35mm Art f/1.4 Lens
- Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 Lens
- Sigma 135mm f/1.8 Lens
- Canon 100mm f/2,8 Macro Lens
- Canon 50mm f/1.8 Lens

If my event lasts longer than expected, will you stay? Is there an additional charge?

It often happens that timing runs a bit later than expected and I don't mind staying for a short time free of charge! :) If the time goes up to a half hour or more over, I would charge my overtime rate from there and will stay as long as my couples want (as long as I am able to).

Do you offer Mentor Sessions?!

I do, I do! Fill out my Contact Form and inquire about my Mentoring Experience packages - I'd love to help you grow as a photographer and small business owner!

*Don't see your question here? No worries! Shoot me an email or fill out my Contact Form, I would love to help!*
