Olympic National Park Wedding // 2024 Guide

Olympic National Park Wedding

Olympic National Park is one of my favorite National Parks in all of the U.S. - first off, it’s huge and has such a vast array of landscapes and experiences to offer.

Here, you’ll find some of Washington’s most beautiful lake views like Lake Crescent, mountain scenery like those of Hurricane Ridge, waterfalls like the roaring Marymere Falls, lush moss-covered forests like the Hoh Rainforest, and moody beaches like Ruby Beach. It really has a little bit of everything!

Whether you’re looking to go on an epic mountain hike, or have a stroll through the forest, you’ll find plenty of spots to fall in love with here in this gorgeous Washington wonderland.

How to Get Married in Olympic National Park

  • Step #1: Choose your date/time of year (Spring-Fall)

  • Step #2: Book your Elopement Photographer - heyyy!

  • Step #3: We’ll go in depth planning together

  • Step #4: Obtain permits - I’ll help with this!

  • Step #5: Make your travel plans (flights, lodging, car)

  • Step #6: Apply for a marriage license

  • Elope in Olympic National Park!

Olympic National Park Wedding Permit

The great news is, if you have below 5 guests (including vendors), you do not need a wedding permit for Olympic National Park!

If you have more than 5 people, then you will need a Special Use Permit for your ceremony, which is just $50 for the application fee.

Don’t worry - I’ll help you with all the ins and outs of applying for a wedding permit if you need one!

Olympic National Park will usually allow a minimal low-impact set up, but we always ask to make sure we are following “Leave No Trace” and respecting these beautiful lands.

Hoh Rainforest Wedding

Hoh Rainforest Elopement

The Hoh Rainforest is one of the most iconic spots in Olympic National Park and one of my personal favorites too. It’s moss-covered trees, ferns, and lush greenery as far as the eye can see. There’s beautiful trails and unique forest scenery. I love this spot for a ceremony tucked away among the trees and enchanting forest atmosphere.

Hoh Rainforest is actually one of the largest temperate rainforests in the U.S. and is a must-see if you’re visiting Washington - the Hall of Mosses Trail would be my recommendation, especially if it’s your first time there!
